We are looking for an experienced and passionate Software Administrator to join our team! If you are hard-working and dedicated, Fun With Balls is a perfect place to grow. 

You are responsible for the quality of software development and deployment. You are involved in performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Some of the duties include analysis of software, and systems, mitigate risk and prevent software issues.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance

Your skill set:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus

As a computer scientist having 5+ years work experience. You are interested in managing our native environment by maintaining and extending our given architecture as well as contributing to our applications. For our system machines you will be taking care of application distribution, proper integration of the game applications as well as contributing to various detection applications.

You aim towards automated tests, structuring our current software in a modular way and take care of the communication with our centralized servers. You are highly driven to bring our technology to the next level. Therefore you can overlook complex systems and you are well aware of dependencies between different software parts.

You understand the importance of each bit and ensure the overall functionality of the system. You are able to reach beyond the usual borders of your working field in order to support the team for keeping important deadlines if necessary.

Your focus is on gaining improvements towards efficiency, scalability and the feature set of the system. You understand the different levels of importance and you are able to prioritize and shape the size of individual evolutionary steps.

Own development of strategy, planning, and execution of social media content across primary social sites (LinkedIn for B2B, Instagram/TikTok/Facebook for B2C).

Drive organizational change in how we “do” social media – focused on scalable opportunities for growth.

Plan campaigns around high-growth product and solution launches and seasonally- or topically-relevant moments, integrating with the broader marketing calendar
